In the message, they painfully describe how the boy was tortured and deprived of his life by Hamas-linked elements, calling the incident a grave injustice.<\/p>\n<p>During the moving funeral, thousands of people remembered Oday with chants calling for change and a different future for Gaza. The family expressed the wish that full light be shed on the affair, so that such tragedies would not be repeated.<\/p>\n<p>While the protests have gradually subsided, some observers report that the recent tensions have shown a growing desire for dialogue and reconciliation among the population.
